Durant and Curry Lead Warriors Gasak Cavs in the First Game
Basketball news - Golden State Warriors earned good capital after easily beating the Cleveland Cavaliers in game I. Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry inspire the Warriors.
Shown at home, Oracle Arena, Oakland, Friday (02/06/2017) morning WIB, Warriors beat the Cavs with a score of 113-91. Durant packed 38 points, 8 rebounds and assists while Curry made double-doubles with 28 points, 10 assists and 6 rebounds.
Warriors, carrying revenge after a stifling defeat of the Cavs last season. When the Warriors had a lead of 1-3, but the Cavs comeback by winning the next three games to be champions.
The Warriors as a whole dominate and are unable to chase the Cavs to the end. However, the Warriors appear to be not quite convincing in the opening quarter despite outranking the 35-30 Cavs.
"I think at the start of the game, we were a bit nervous and some layups missed, we also failed to capture shots in free positions," said Durant after the match on ESPN. "I think from the second quarter we can only get the rhythm.
LeBron James played for 40 minutes on the pitch with 28 points and 15 rebounds for the Cavaliers. Kyrie Irving added 24 points and Kevin Love had 15 points and 21 rebounds.
This victory continues the glorious trend of Warriors in post season. The Warriors mean they have gone 13-0 from the playoffs, making them the first team to do so.
"They are the best team I have ever seen," said Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue. "They now register 13-0, and keep a record every year."
The second game will still be held at home to the Warriors on Monday (5/6).
