Durant Confessed Not Feel Pressure Bring Warriors Champion
Basketball news - When joining Golden State Warriors, Kevin Durant is required to bring the title of NBA champion in his first season. However, Durant did not feel the pressure.
The 28-year-old forward is crossing into the Warriors in the 2016-17 season after his entire career has been spent with Oklahoma City Thunder. Durant's move made him labeled a 'glory hunter' after several Thunder breaks in the playoffs.
Durant et al. Will face defending champions Cleveland Cavaliers in a top party that will start on Friday (2/6/2017) WIB. In the first game, Warriors will first host.
"Approaching the match as I always do, with love, caring, and hard work, and we'll see what happens," said Durant, who was quoted by Reuters.
'This is a team game. I can not play and do it all alone or I can not play and let my team do it all for me. I have to do my part and we all have to work together as a team, "he said.
"So that's the most important, but individually, I just have to perform, as I say, approach the match as I always do and we'll see."
Durant is eyeing the first NBA champion ring in his career. Previously, Durant never ushered the Thunder into the finals in 2012, but subdued in the hands of the Miami Heat, led by Cavaliers star LeBron James.
With the Warriors status as a super team, then if it fails the champion then it will be a very big disappointment. "I'm just trying to be the best player I can be, that's the only pressure I'm worried about," he said.
"If I do not play after my standard, then that's when I'm angry," added Durant.
