This Basketball Club is Inspired by Bali United


Basketball news - The existence of Bali United in the Island of the Gods seems to have been very rooted. Team nicknamed Tridatu Serdadu this inspire some circles. One of them is the Indonesian Women Basketball League (WIBL) 2017, Merpati Bali.

Deddy Setiawan, Merpati Bali club owner claimed to want to raise and popularize basketball in Bali, especially the daughter sector. That's why Deddy willingly spend a lot of money to form a Merpati Bali club.

"I want the people of Bali also know and feel to have teams basketball princess Merpati Bali, as well as Bali United in football," said Deddy.

"We want basketball to grow and progress in Bali and I hope there will be a sponsor or businessman who wants to help us because we play not only for Merpati but for the pride of our region, Bali," he added.

Merpati Bali will also be trained by the new architect, Bambang Asdianto Pribadi. Together with the new coach, Merpati Bali achieved great results in the test match. They are ranked third in the Flying Wheel Cup and 2016 Scorpio Cup tournament winners.

In the event WIBL 2017, Merpati Bali will compete with seven other clubs, namely Sahabat Semarang, Flying Wheel Makassar, Satria Siliwangi Bandung, New Power Pontianak, Red Predators Jakarta, Tanago Jakarta and defending champion, Surabaya Fever.
