Rossi: As Usually, Racing in Assen Always Difficult

Racing news - The first day of the series of races in the Dutch MotoGP series is over. Valentino Rossi rate this race runs as usual when dihelat in Assen.

Rossi was not the fastest in two free practice sessions that have been held at the circuit Assen, Friday (23/06/2017). He finished fifth in the first free practice, and sixth in the next free practice.

Rossi's team mate Maverick Vinales made it the fastest in the second free practice. Unlike in MotoGP Catalunya, Yamaha's performance in Assen is quite promising.

Rossi said that he is aiming to stay in the top 10 during qualifying session tomorrow. He also revealed that the appearance of Yamaha motor with a new chassis is not so bad.

"Today is very heavy as usual in Assen, but it is also quite positive for me because I was in the top five this morning and sixth in the afternoon session," Rossi said on the MotoGP website.

"It's important to stay in the top 10 in the Q2 session tomorrow because it looks like the weather will be bad tomorrow, we're lucky enough because we can work on the new chassis and it's not so bad," he added.
