Dovizioso about Stoner, Lorenzo, and this season's Titel Competition


Racing news - Andrea Dovizioso talks about his achievements related to Casey Stoner, Jorge Lorenzo's gait to be his teammate, as well as competition for the 2017 MotoGP title.

Dovizioso became the winner of the Catalunya MotoGP race series on Sunday (6/11/2017) yesterday. The Ducati Rider also successfully stringed two consecutive wins, after before this top podium MotoGP Italy.

"There is a presumption just Casey Stoner who can win with this bike, but we have shown it is not true," said Dovizioso as reported by GPOne.com.

With two wins this season has been the best in Dovizioso's career with Ducati that he has defended since 2013. He is now even entrenched in the position of two-board standings rider, seven points behind Maverick Vinales in the top position.

"I was surprised to have won two races, did not make it before (coming) Lorenzo. (But) I already know can compete with him," he said.

Is the result in the last two races could be a reflection that he will continue to be in competition for the title of MotoGP world champion this season?

"With what happens this year, it would be crazy to make predictions," Dovizioso said with a laugh. "We will take the next test, we have done enough effort, I will enjoy this victory first."
