Eusebio Di Francesco Officially Handles AS Roma


Football news - AS Roma officially appointed former Sassuolo coach Eusebio Di Francisco as new coach to replace Luciano Spalletti who leave at the end of this season. He promised to give the best for his new club.

In Francesco himself had defended Roma as a player for four seasons in 1997 to 2001. This 47-year coach will be awarded a two-year contract in Rome.

In Francesco was once part of Roma coach in the 2006/06 season. However, Di Francesco's career began to climb after handling Sassuolo over the last five years. He successfully brought Sassuolo promotion to Serie A for the first time in 2013. Last season, he was even able to bring Sassuolo to play in the Europa League.

Challenges At Francesco in Rome next season will certainly grow bigger. Last season, Roma finished second and will play in the Champions League next season.

"I am very happy to be back in Rome, training a club that means a lot to me," Di Francesco said after being inaugurated as a replacement for Spalletti who had just been appointed as Inter Milan coach.

"I would like to thank the president [James] Pallotta and the board of directors for this opportunity, I will give everything to ensure that the team will get the results they deserve," he continued.
